ENOWA, the energy, water and hydrogen subsidiary of NEOM, has established the region's first Hydrogen and Innovation Development Center (HIDC). Located in NEOM’s advanced manufacturing and innovation city, the new facility aims to accelerate lab to market solutions and business development across the spectrum of hydrogen, green fuel production, utilization and transport.
Under the auspices of Tabuk Gov. Prince Fahd bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, the NEOM development company will host on Tuesday, in cooperation with residents, the “NEOM … The Future of Man and Place” forum at the region’s Prince Sultan Cultural Center. The forum will be an opportunity for officials to brief the community on NEOM’s programs to boost local investment and improve the quality of life of residents and citizens.
The boss of Mace’s consulting arm has said it is on track to beat turnover targets ahead of schedule with the business expecting income this year to be north of £400m. The firm was handed a £500m turnover target as part of Mace’s strategy to grow group turnover to £3bn by 2026 but consult’s chief executive Jason Millett said he was expecting income this year to be within £100m of that.
After waiting more than two years since the launch of the Disney+ entertainment service in the United States, the Company has announced on Tuesday the date for launching its services in Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, and many other Arab countries on June, 8. Disney said that its entertainment service, Disney+, which is the main competitor to Netflix, will be available in 42 new countries and 11 regions. The price for the service will be SR29.99 monthly and SR298.99.
Saudi Arabia’s Jada Fund of Funds plans launching funds to attract investments in favor of NEOM, revealed Jada CEO Adel Al-Ateeq. The ‘Catalyze Saudi’ initiative is in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 which aims to raise small and medium sized enterprises’ (SMEs) contribution to GDP from 21% to 35% by 2030.
Saudi Arabia’s Tabuk Fisheries Company recently hatched its first batch of native sobaity bream larvae – a breakthrough that could pave the way to diversifying the Middle East’s burgeoning aquaculture sector.
The independent feature Within Sand has begun shooting in NEOM, becoming the first Saudi film to be supported by NEOM’s Media Industries sector.
Selected and supported by the Saudi Film Commission in a nationwide Daw’ film competition, Within Sand is being produced by Riyadh-based Alsarid Films and will be distributed by Saudi-based CineWaves films. The script has been selected and developed by Torino Lab, which was part of the Red Sea International Film Festival programs.

NEOM announced the launch of its subsidiary company ENOWA, which will lead the development of NEOM's world-class, sustainable energy and water systems. Work to develop these utilities has begun to provide the critical infrastructure for NEOM's key projects: THE LINE, its revolutionary urban development; OXAGON, its reimagined industrial city; and TROJENA, its sustainable mountain tourism destination.
Saudi Arabia has announced that it will begin its construction of a green H2 plant as early as this month as it moves forward in its strategy to ease the dependence of its economy on fossil fuel exports. Hydrogen is expected to be central to the global efforts to transition to cleaner energy sources. It is expected that much of the exports from the green H2 plant will be shipped to meet demand from Asian and American companies.
startAD, the Abu Dhabi-based startup accelerator powered by Tamkeen and anchored at NYU Abu Dhabi (NYUAD); and VentureSouq, a GCC-based venture capital firm, have announced the seventh annual Angel Rising Investor Education Symposium, which will take place virtually from March 22-23, 2022. Themed FoodTech For Thought, the two-day Symposium will cover timely and important topics of how to harness technology to address food security.
