Saudi state-backed National Housing Company (NHC) has signed an agreement with China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) to build 20,000 housing units in suburbs and communities across the kingdom. The projects are part of NHC’s initiative to build quality projects in coloration with global companies. 

Emirates Steel, a subsidiary of Emirates Steel Arkan Group, has announced a partnership with Malaysia’s Eversendai for the NEOM TROJENA Ski Village project in Saudi Arabia. The company will provide low-carbon steel beams for the development, positioned as the Gulf region’s first outdoor ski resort and set to host the 2029 Asian Winter Games.

NEOM Airlines (NEOM Bay) may be on hold as Saudi Arabia intends to allocate 20% less than its targeted budget this year to the urban development start-up based at NEOM Bay by the Red Sea. NEOM, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, has unveiled Magna, a new coastal region prepared to redefine luxury sustainable tourism. This ambitious challenge, spanning 120 kilometres along the Gulf of Aqaba coastline, is a key element of NEOM’s local sustainable tourism portfolio. Magna encompasses twelve unique destinations: Leyja, Epicon, Siranna, Utamo, Norlana, Aquellum, Zardun, Xaynor, Elanan, Gidori, Treyam, and Jaumur.

A $500 billion rewilding effort in Saudi Arabia, which is helping to regreen the desert and reintroduce native species, recently hit a milestone. In 2022, the sanctuary welcomed a group of animals including ibex, sand gazelles, mountain gazelles, and the Arabian oryx, an antelope that hadn't walked NEOM's sands for over a century. This group of animals had 60 babies during the first breeding season, as Arabian Business reported.
