SIBS has just signed a design-and-build contract.  It includes the design, production, logistics, assembly, and finalisation of 1,300 apartments spread across 22 buildings, totalling approximately 100 000 m2 of GFA.  The sale is attributed to SIBS business segment, industrial sales, and delivery is in the form of project sales, where it will deliver turn-key buildings from a finalised bottom slab upwards. The entire project will be commissioned and delivered by Q4 2024.

Saudi Arabia aims to turn its arid capital into a desert oasis, though the ambitious project may encounter issues that have plagued the kingdom's other sustainability-focused initiatives. Nicknamed "Green Riyadh," the urban forestation effort aims to improve the air quality and reduce the temperature in the capital. Characteristic of the kingdom's recent efforts at urban regeneration, the big-budget transformation of Riyadh into a verdant metropolis would be a significant victory for Prince Salman's Vision 2030.

Saudi Arabia is could become the world’s largest construction market as the kingdom pours vast amounts of money into projects aimed at overhauling and diversifying its economy, according to a report from real estate consultancy group Knight Frank. the UK-based firm projected that Saudi Arabia’s total construction output value will reach $181.5 billion by the end of 2028.

NEOM has extended the tender closing date for Type B precast tunnel works for the marina section of The Spine, which is the infrastructure corridor running alongside THE LINE. The closing date is now 14 July. 

Saudi Arabia has garnered strong interest from British investors in its renewable energy sector and sustainable infrastructure, aligning with its Vision 2030 for green initiatives in environmental projects. This came at the UK-Saudi Sustainable Infrastructure Summit in London on June 24, where opportunities within the Kingdom’s top five projects — NEOM, Qiddiya, the Red Sea Project, ROSHN, and Diriyah — were highlighted, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

Saudi Arabia’s NEOM has awarded an estimated SR4bn ($1bn) design-and-build contract to deliver infrastructure and building works for Terminal 1 of the port at the OXAGON industrial city development.  The contract was awarded to a joint venture of local firm El-Seif Engineering Contracting, Egyptian contractor Hassan Allam Construction and Beijing-headquartered China Harbour Engineering Company.

New images of Saudi Arabia’s £1,000,000,000 mega city has been released, but it has left people even more confused. The country planned to transform their deserts into a city of 9 million people across a 105-mile stretch of line called NEOM in the Tabuk Province. The new concept images include a mirror skyscraper, and buildings floating over a marina, giving off the illusion of invisibility.
